Modern Technology Solutions Incorporated (MTSI) is seeking a motivated and skillful R&D Scientist/Engineer with expertise in infrared target signatures to support critical projects within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of EO/IR sensor data and phenomenology with a proven ability to model, simulate, and analyze infrared signatures of complex systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic R&D environment where innovation and collaboration are highly valued.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in DoD or IC programs
- Active TS/SCI with willingness to complete a CI Polygraph
- Experience working with EO/IR sensor data
- Strong knowledge of space-based EO/IR sensor phenomenology
- Proficiency in using high-fidelity IR signature modeling applications
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Strong communication skills capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and departments, while also being self-sufficient when needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced experience in GEOINT processing research and development
- Extensive experience with DoD EO/IR sensor data
- Expertise in modeling and simulating advanced foreign weapon systems' signatures
- 6+ years of relevant experience in the field
- Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
