Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Weapons SystemsSenior Engineer (GRP3) at Eglin AFB, FL.
This position provides direct acquisition program systems and other engineering support as a key team member supporting USAF Weapons Systems Program Office (SPO) activities, specifically the program chief engineer, on Eglin AFB, FL. This position will be primarily supporting all aspects of the integration of weapons onto aircraft platforms. The successful candidate will interface and coordinate with multiple government leads and prime contractors and other contractors within USAF AFMC AFLCMC Directorates and associated enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Work with Government and Prime Contractor engineers and program managers in the development and review of Systems Engineering design artifacts and products to support the Program Chief Engineer.
- Provide lead systems engineering support to the initiation and execution of Aircraft Integration Programs. Areas of Aircraft Integration duties include: Inter-program negotiation and coordination including relevant documentation, systems requirements generation and coordination (to include Special Test Equipment), physical, electrical and logical interface development and documentation (includes datalinks/networks, LAR/WEZ, GPS, and mission data/planning), store certification process and weapon-specific separations and developmental testing.
- Provide senior consultation and technical leadership in program TIMs, IPTs and Working Groups as needed and directed.
- Assess developmental weapons systems design and readiness for progression through the product lifecycle by conducting or supporting systems engineering technical review (SETR) processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems engineering plus 15 or more years of experience in USAF Weapons Program Office support
- Experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or similar.
- Ability to interact and communicate in a professional manner with senior military and government leadership
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- TS/SCI clearance required.

Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering (or related field) plus 12 years of relevant USAF Weapons development experience.
- Certifications in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML and associated experience.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software applications.
- ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP certification.
