MTSI is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer with expertise in the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) and autonomy integration to support next-generation air systems. This role focuses on enabling seamless communication between mission systems and autonomous capabilities through UCI-compliant architecture and modern DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software integration, autonomy-enabling frameworks, and secure development pipelines within the DoD environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support UCI-based integration of autonomy and mission systems across platforms.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders and contractor teams to define interface requirements and data exchange standards.
  • Contribute to development of interface control documents, architecture views, and integration specifications.
  • Work with DevSecOps teams to enable secure and rapid deployment of mission software.
  • Participate in technical reviews, integration events, and working groups to guide architecture alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD open architecture and digital engineering initiatives.


Qualifications


Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software integration, mission systems, or DevSecOps in a defense environment.
  • Knowledge of UCI architecture, message standards, and autonomy-enabling interfaces.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and secure software development practices.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.

Desired
  • Experience supporting autonomy development programs or open architecture initiatives.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo), digital thread concepts, and JADC2-related efforts.
  • Certifications in DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or cloud-native systems.
  • Prior experience with AFLCMC, OSD, or autonomy program offices.
