This individual will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows-based systems in a secure environment. This role is an in-person role that is co-located with our government customer’s organization at WPAFB.

Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
· Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, hardware, virtual environments, and network devices to meet program needs
· Perform system hardening to ensure compliance with established security policies
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
· Implement and maintain system backups and disaster recovery procedures
· Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
· Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure system stability and availability
· Provide technical support to end-users
· Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures
· Install and maintain DevSecOps tools (GitLab, Artifactory, etc.)
· Install and maintain ACAS suite of tools
· Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as RMF, DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53
Qualifications Required:
· Working knowledge of Windows server administration
· 6+ years of experience administering Linux systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
· Experience with system standup and configuration including group policy
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in systems administration
· Ability to work unsupervised in a lead role
· Previous work supporting test or research and development environments
· Coordinate with program stakeholders, engineers, and other IT professionals to align system capabilities with mission objectives
· Provide technical expertise and recommendations for system improvements and upgrades
· Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD, National and applicable service and agency security policy, manuals and standards. Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
Certifications Required:
· CompTIA Security+
Education:
· Master’s degree in an IT-related field (e.g., cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering) with 10 years of relevant professional experience.
· Additional experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements.
Even better if you have these desired skills:
· Experience as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA)
· Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
· Experience with configuration management, automation tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python, Puppet, Chef).
· Additional certifications of ISC2 CCSP; CompTIA SecurityX (CASP+), Linux+; RHCSA
Clearance Requirements:
· Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility).
