SENIOR DEFENSE TECHNOLOGIST (OPERATIONAL PLANNING, WARGAMING & EXERCISES) - 1133911307889

MTSI is seeking a Senior Defense Technologist for Operational Planning, Wargaming, and Exercises, you will play a pivotal role in support for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)) Mission Capabilities (MC) Multi-Domain Joint Operations (MDJO). 

You will blend operational expertise with innovative technology approaches to drive the assessment of military effectiveness and engineering viability in critical DoD programs. This role demands a strategist with a deep understanding of research, development, and program transition efforts within DoD initiatives. This position is located in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Responsibilities:
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Conceiving, planning, and conducting exercises and wargaming.
  • Assessing military effectiveness and engineering viability.
  • Shepherding collaboration agreements.
  • Navigating foreign disclosure processes.
  • Generating support documentation (e.g., scenario, background, order of battle).

Qualifications Required:
  • 15 years of experience in operational planning, wargaming, and/or exercise planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in technological programs, preferably as has transitioned to operational use.
 
Education:
  • Master's degree required.
  • Doctoral degree highly preferred.

Even better if you have these desired skills:
  • Experience with program transition efforts
  • Joint Staff experience

Clearance Requirements:
  • An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP/CAP eligibility) is required.
