MODELING, SIMULATION, AND ANALYSIS (MS&A) ENGINEER SME - 1133911751626

MTSI is seeking an MS&A Engineer SME with expertise in high-fidelity Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) and advanced tools such as AFSIM to deliver benchmarking results and optimize mission-critical systems across multi-domain environments. This role combines data-driven systems analysis, algorithm development, and simulation validation to enhance decision-making and operational performance for national security programs. 

The ideal candidate is a systems engineer and analyst with hands-on experience designing, developing, and integrating MS&A models to support lifecycle planning, predictive analytics, and mission validation using state-of-the-art simulation environments. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement strategies to integrate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital twins, and advanced simulation tools into engineering workflows.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of digital engineering platforms and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Provide mentorship and training to engineering teams to enhance their digital engineering proficiency.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and processes for systems engineering and digital engineering.
  • Document and deliver simulation results, technical approaches, and process insights to program stakeholders and mission partners. 
 
Required Skills: 

  • 12+ years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) for high-fidelity mission-critical operations. 
  • Proficiency in AFSIM, MATLAB, Python, or other advanced simulation tools to deliver validated models and benchmarking analysis. 
  • Expertise in systems design, lifecycle analysis, and probabilistic reasoning frameworks for mission prediction and assessment. 
  • Familiarity with data-driven digital engineering methodologies, including simulation readiness, DevSecOps workflows, and secure data pipelines. 
  • Strong ability to communicate simulation results and algorithms with leadership and cross-functional teams. 

 
Minimum Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Analysis, Physics, or related technical fields required. 
  • Master’s degree preferred. 
 
Location: Flexible, with priority posting in Ohio (OH), Virginia (VA), and Alabama (AL).
Clearance Requirements: 
Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility required.
