MTSI is seeking a Test Pilot Advisor at Nellis AFB, Nevada with a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
This role provides critical expertise in the planning, execution, and management of flight tests for a variety of advanced aircraft. The successful candidate will leverage a deep understanding of flight test principles to develop and coordinate comprehensive test plans, guide all phases of flight testing from initial safety reviews to in-flight execution, and serve as an expert as required in a Mission Control Room environment.
The position requires acting as a key technical advisor, providing expert guidance on aircraft systems, flight dynamics, and operational capabilities to engineering and production teams, while also analyzing flight test data to recommend design modifications and ensure all technical and safety requirements are met. The Test Pilot SME will also manage programmatic and technical coordination by collaborating with diverse stakeholders, managing aircraft configuration and scheduling, and preparing detailed reports and briefings to communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and lead all phases of flight test planning and execution to ensure safe and effective evaluation of advanced aircraft.
- Provide critical subject matter expertise and technical consultation on aircraft systems, performance, and operational capabilities to guide engineering and development efforts.
- Direct programmatic and technical coordination between engineering, program management, and external stakeholders to align flight test activities with project goals.
- Analyze and interprets complex flight test data to validate aircraft performance, identify deficiencies, and provide actionable recommendations for system improvements
Required Certifications/Qualifications
- USAF Test Pilot School Graduate
- More than 750 hours fighter flight experience
Education/Experience:
- Master’s Degree with 4+ years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience
Clearance Required:
- TS/SCI with SAP eligible
Travel:
Up to once per month, CONUS and OCONUS possible.
