Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Program Manager - Fire Control SME to join the Fire Control Team supporting the Golden Dome contract with the Department of Defense (DoD), in Huntsville, Alabama.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership and oversight while guiding the development, integration, and sustainment of key PMAS systems that drive collaboration and multi-domain operations. As a member of the Fire Control Team, you will facilitate the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with mission objectives, contractual obligations, and cybersecurity guidelines.
Contract Overview:
Golden Dome is a national-level, whole-of-nation initiative in which you will play a critical role in advancing next-generation homeland defense capabilities. Job Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical planning, design, development, and delivery of PMAS solutions as part of the Fire Control Team supporting DoD operational environments.
- System Architecture: Define and maintain scalable, secure architectures that integrate into multi-domain, mission-critical environments and meet stringent DoD requirements.
- Agile Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevSecOps environment to ensure timely delivery of PMAS features and capabilities.
- Team Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers, engineers, and stakeholders to foster skill development and alignment with the project's strategic goals.
- Integration: Oversee integration of PMAS systems into DoD platforms, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure, tools, and mission needs.
- Performance Optimization: Evaluate system performance and implement improvements to optimize speed, reliability, scalability, and security for PMAS applications.
- Compliance: Ensure systems meet DoD cybersecurity, RMF/NIST standards, DISA STIGs, and other federal guidelines.
- Tooling: Advocate the use of modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., CI/CD, containerization, cloud services, AI/ML applications).
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring compliance with Golden Dome contractual requirements.
- Documentation: Create technical documentation for architectures, workflows, and system maintenance to ensure transparency, audit readiness, and operational continuity.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interface with government stakeholders, program managers, and contractors to report progress, negotiate technical concerns, and align technical deliverables with mission priorities.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 15 years’ related experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Security Clearance:
- Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- 5 years’ prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years.
Required Skills:
- 15 years’ experience involving system development, integration, or sustainment, with at least 3 years in technical leadership.
- Hands-on experience with PMAS or other DoD mission-critical systems.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, and technical program oversight.
- Proficient in software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, cloud computing, and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker).
- Experience with data architecture, integration tools, and systems engineering frameworks.
- Familiarity with DoD policies, directives, RMF/NIST frameworks, DISA STIGs, and cybersecurity best practices.
