MTSI is currently seeking a Lead Test Engineer to join the team in Huntsville, Alabama.

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Manage Test & Evaluation Working Level Integrated Product Teams (WIPT).
  • Develop data collection plans for a weapon system.
  • Integrate modeling and simulation (M&S), hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), and bench test activities into a test program.
  • Develop Test & Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP) for weapon systems.
  • Develop Statement of Work requirements for Test & Evaluation efforts.
  • Develop and manage Test & Evaluation Budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage reimbursable agreements with external test organizations.
  • Ensure required data is collected for weapon system testing.
  • Analyze test center capabilities to execute weapon system testing.
  • Perform detailed concepts, coordination, planning, execution, data management, and reporting of weapon system evaluations to include qualification at the component and system levels and open-air range environments.
  • Coordinate with external organizations which include but not limited to: Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC), Department of the Army Headquarters Test and Evaluation, (HQDA, DUSA-TE), Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Developmental Test & Evaluation (DASD(DT&E)), Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E), and the Director, Capabilities Developments Directorate, Army Capabilities Integration Center.
  • Review and evaluate proposed Design of Experiments (DoE) strategies.
  • Review and evaluate proposed Developmental Evaluation Framework (DEF) strategies.
  • Perform technical evaluations and participate in Failure Review Boards.
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy and maintains effective working relationships with multiple government agencies and private industry partners in teaming environment.
  • Oversee/Review technical documentation to include drawings, specifications and test plans.
  • Develop and staff white papers on Test & Evaluation related topics.
  • Support Project/Product Office Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) meetings.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 25 years related experience, experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Experience:
  • Experience in test engineering supporting PMO Aviation, ideally UAS
  • Ability to develop and provide reports to management.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook skills.

Required Clearance:
Must have an Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.
