- Coordinate with OEMs, government agencies, and depot personnel to assess and resolve structural issues.
- Evaluate material degradation, crack propagation, corrosion, and repair techniques.
- Participate in design reviews, sustainment working groups, and airframe certification activities.
- Support the integration of digital engineering and structural health monitoring systems where applicable.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural engineering, NDI support, or depot-level sustainment.
- Familiarity with common NDI techniques (e.g., ultrasonic, radiographic, dye penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle).
- Understanding of fatigue, fracture mechanics, and structural life prediction methods.
- Experience with MIL-STD, ASTM, or other DoD technical specifications and inspection protocols.
- Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Desired
