MTSI is seeking an experienced Missions Systems Engineer to support mission-critical initiatives at Wright-Patterson AFB. This role involves leading efforts to design, develop, and oversee implementation of advanced mission systems that support national defense priorities. You’ll operate in a complex, multi-level security environment and help deliver solutions across multi-tenant, multi-domain systems.
Success in this role requires deep technical knowledge, strong collaboration across engineering disciplines, and the ability to integrate complex hardware and software solutions. A solid understanding of systems engineering processes, mission analysis, and secure interoperability is essential.
Responsibilities:
Mission Systems Design and Development: Create and update systems for multi-domain environments.
Mission Architecture and Integration: Design and integrate systems supporting multi-level security.
System Performance and Scalability: Conduct capacity planning, resilience analysis, and scalability assessments.
Process Engineering Assurance: Develop and document system update processes, compliance standards, and threat mitigation practices; train users on effective implementation.
Mission Analysis and Implementation: Ensure integrated solutions align with strategic objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate efforts across teams to deliver cohesive system solutions.
Security Evaluation and Compliance: Support audits and implement actions to address vulnerabilities.
Lifecycle Documentation: Produce system documentation, including configuration records, user guides, and training materials.
Qualifications:
Required
- 2+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI e2igibility.
- Expertise in mission systems architecture and hardware/software integration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network routing, secure configurations, and operational analysis.
- Experience with mission analysis tools and multi-domain system platforms.
Desired
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with Elastic, Splunk, or similar analytics tools.
- Familiarity with modeling/simulation tools for mission analysis.
- Certifications such as INCOSE CSEP, ITIL v4, or cybersecurity credentials.
- Training in secure, multi-domain environments.
